UAE builder Asis Boats has been awarded a contract to supply two new coastal fisheries patrol boats to the Marshall Islands Marine Resources Authority (MIMRA).

The MIMRA rigid hull inflatable boats (RHIBs) will each have an aluminium hull, a length of seven metres, and a Yamaha 111kW outboard that will deliver a maximum speed of 34 knots. Two triple jockey seats will be available for the coxswain and a second crewmember.

Equipment on each RIB will include a boarding ladder on the forward deck, a telescopic stainless steel tow post, and an aluminium protective encapsulation to protect and safeguard the bow against collisions.
