Taiwan’s Kinmen County gets new coast guard RIB

The Taiwan Coast Guard Administration welcomed a new patrol boat into service on Saturday, March 14.
The rigid inflatable boat (RIB) has a length of 11.8 metres, a beam of 3.4 metres, a displacement of eight tonnes, a range of 288 nautical miles, and three outboard engines that deliver a maximum speed of 45 knots.
The newbuild will be assigned to the coast guard branch in Kinmen County. Missions will include maritime security and fisheries enforcement patrols.
