New patrol RHIBs delivered to West Africa security company

UAE-based Asis Boats has delivered two new rigid hull inflatable boats (RHIBs) in a series to an unnamed company specialising in security of oil and gas projects in West Africa.

Each boat has an FRP hull, an aluminium open wheelhouse, a hypalon-PE collar, and seating for up to six personnel. Two aluminium fuel tanks with a combined capacity of 600 litres will allow each boat to cruise continuously for over a full work day.

Two Yamaha four-stroke outboards with hydraulic steering deliver high cruising speeds of up to 20 knots.

The wheelhouse on each RHIB has been specially designed to be easily removable for the purpose of shipping the boat in a standard 40-foot container.

A weapon mount and FLIR thermal night vision camera have been installed in addition to a Garmin GPS map and a hull mounted transducer.
