Mount Pleasant Police patrol boat formally named
EMERGENCY SERVICES WEEK
The Mount Pleasant Police Department of South Carolina has christened its newest patrol craft, a rigid inflatable boat (RIB) supplied by SAFE Boats International of Bremerton, Washington.
The vessel was acquired for US$385,000, of which US$288,000 was made available through grant funding from South Carolina state authorities.
The RIB is powered by two outboard engines and is also equipped to conduct search and rescue (SAR) operations.
