Edgartown accepts delivery of customised harbourmaster RIB

Massachusetts-based Ribcraft has delivered a custom-made harbourmaster rigid inflatable boat (RIB) to Edgartown, on the eastern side of Martha’s Vineyard.

Based on the design for a surf rescue vessel, the vessel is powered by a 186kW Yamaha engine that allows it to reach speeds of more than 43 knots.

Designed for all-weather operations, the RIB features a two-person console enclosure, excellent deck space for patients or equipment, easy access for officer boardings and unobstructed views.

The Edgartown Harbourmaster conducts search-and-rescue operations, routine patrols and management of the 900 moorings in six locations.
