Construction starts on new rescue RIB for Australian Volunteer Coast Guard

Yamba Welding and Engineering has commenced fabrication on an 11.3-metre Naiad-designed rigid inflatable boat (RIB) for the Cairns flotilla of the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard.

The RIB will operate primarily in the waters off Cairns from Batt Reef in the north to High Island in the south.

Delivery is scheduled for January 2022.
