California offshore towing specialist gets new RIB from Alabama builder
Marine emergency service provider TowBoatUS Long Beach has taken delivery of a new rigid inflatable boat (RIB) from Silver Ships of Alabama.
The 30-foot (9.1-metre) newbuild is custom-designed and outfitted for use as an offshore marine assist and tow vessel and is equipped for extreme, extended offshore conditions.
The RIB has Garmin electronics, shock-mitigating seats, a built-in dewatering pump, and space for salvage lift bags and dive gear. Power is provided by two Mercury outboard engines.
