Western Canada Marine Response Corporation (WCMRC) has taken delivery of the first vessel in a series of four aluminium landing craft optimised for oil spill response duties.

Solander Sentinel measures 15.8 metres long and is powered by two Scania DI13 560kW engines with keel-cooling features. The engines drive a pair of HamiltonJet waterjets via Twin Disc gearboxes to propel the craft to speeds of up to 35 knots.

The vessel was designed and built by William E. Munson Company of Burlington, Washington.
