Briggs Marine’s newest workboat to serve Sheerness Port

UK operator Briggs Marine and Environmental Services has taken delivery of a new multi-purpose workboat that will serve the Port of Sheerness just outside London.

The 15.5-metre-long Medway Hunter will operate within the Medway Estuary as part of Briggs Marine’s port services contract with Peel Ports London Medway. Duties include oil spill response, harbour patrol, dredging, and debris clearance.

Medway Hunter is one of four vessels ordered by Briggs Marine to upgrade its Sheerness fleet. The three other new vessels are line handling boats currently under construction.
