Svitzer to get new pilot boat for Tanger Med, Morocco

Svitzer will take delivery of a new pilot boat for operation in the Moroccan port of Tanger Med before the end of March.

Svitzer Oued Martil is the third pilot boat built for Svitzer by Safehaven Marine of Ireland. It has a length of 15 metres, an air-conditioned cabin with seating for seven people, an adjustable pilot boarding ladder, and self-righting capability.

Two Volvo D13 372kW engines give the boat a speed of 25 knots.
