New pilot boat for Portugal’s Sines Port starts sea trials

Irish builder Safehaven Marine has begun conducting sea trials of a new pilot boat ordered by the Port of Sines in southwestern Portugal.

Celso Madeira has a length of 14.6 metres and seating for up to seven pilots and crew. Two Volvo D13 372kW engines deliver an operational speed of 25 knots.

The boat will be delivered to its new owners in January 2022.
