Metal Shark delivers pilot boat pair to Belle Chasse
Metal Shark Boats has delivered two new pilot boats in a series to New Orleans-based operator Belle Chasse Marine Transportation (BCMT).
The 13.7-metre, welded aluminium vessels have been named Jet 1 and Jet 2. Each has twin Cummins Marine QSM11 diesel engines that deliver a cruise speed in excess of 30 knots and a maximum speed in the 40-knot range.
BCMT will operate the new pilot boats on the Mississippi River.
