Colombo Dockyard to build pilot boat for Japan’s Kowa Company

Sri Lankan shipbuilder Colombo Dockyard (CDPLC) has entered into a contract with Kowa Company of Japan for the supply of a new pilot boat.

The vessel will have a length of 19 metres, accommodations for 12 people, and a speed of 20 knots.

The pilot boat will be designed by MacDuff Ship Design of Scotland.
