Riviera Boats delivers survey craft to Saqr Port

Saqr Port in Ras al Khaimah in the UAE has welcomed the arrival of a new survey craft for operations around the port and the channels leading to it.

Designed and constructed by Riviera Boats from neighbouring Emirate Sharjah, Kite features a catamaran hull constructed entirely from GRP, a specialty of the yard. The 13-metre vessel has a beam of 5.6 metres and a shallow draught of just 75 centimetres.

The relatively wide beam comes in handy for her survey work where she is able to offer a stable platform for the various pieces of scanning equipment that are to be deployed during her typical work day.

A full review of Kite will appear in the October issue of Work Boat World magazine.
