New fireboat delivered to Rabun County, Georgia

Georgia’s Rabun County Fire Services has taken delivery of a Lake Assault Boats 26-foot (eight-metre) vessel that will provide firefighting and emergency response services to communities situated along the Lake Rabun reservoir.

The boat has twin 175hp (130kW) Mercury outboard engines, a 1,250gpm (283m³/h) fire pump, sonar, and forward looking infra-red (FLIR) camera.

The vessel also has deck space for transporting up to two four-wheeled all-terrain vehicles (ATVs).
