MPV Everest

Netherlands-based Maritime Construction Services (MCS) has been awarded a contract by Indonesia’s Lion Air for the recovery of the cockpit voice recorder and various additional instruments of the airline’s Flight JT610 which crashed in the Java Sea on October 29, 2018.

MCS will form a consortium with local technical partners Alliance Energy Solutions and Nadi Marin Subsea to provide air diving, survey, and ROV services to assist in the recovery effort.

MCS’ multi-purpose DP3 construction vessel MPV Everest (pictured) will be used for the execution of the project.
