From Baird Maritime:
Having been involved with the "conversion" of a book written in the, to a native English speaker, scrambled syntax of "Russish" into conventional English, your reviewer has great admiration for the authors of this masterpiece.
No matter how well you know and understand the subject, it is damned hard work. In this case the result is very much worth the effort. An extensively researched and amazingly detailed coverage of a very broad subject, the book oozes quality from every pore.
Incredibly comprehensive, it covers every kind of sailing warship from battle ships to kayaks and everything in between. It summarises Russian naval history and describes the main yards that built the ships.
Its 450 large format pages cover a lot of ground. The numerous plans, drawings, etchings and paintings are sharp and clear. They enhance the text immeasurably.
A masterpiece.
