UK vehicle manufacturer Twisted has completed its acquisition of rigid inflatable boat (RIB) builder Scorpion RIBs. The acquisition ensures the continued production of Scorpion's boats, which were first introduced in the UK market in 1996.
The acquisition will see Twisted utilise its engineering expertise and resources to enhance Scorpion RIBs' production capabilities and product development. Charles Fawcett, Founder of Twisted Automotive and Twisted Marine, has assured that production on new RIBs under the Scorpion brand will commence immediately.
Some of Scorpion RIBs' boats have garnered numerous endurance and race records. However, the company went into administration earlier this year.
