UK firm unveils new RIB series for security and offshore use

Published on:

The Wolf Rock Boat Company based in Churchstow in the UK recently introduced a new series of rigid inflatable boats (RIBs) designed for a range of applications.

Wolf Rock said each RIB in the series will be built around a deep-vee aluminium hull engineered to deliver a smooth ride as well as improved seaworthiness even under extreme conditions. The hull will be of recyclable construction to ensure long-term durability with reduced environmental impact.

The series will be available in two models. One model will feature what Wolf Rock said is a "traditional RIB design" with an inflatable collar and suited for a variety of operational needs.

The other model will feature a D collar system that can either be inflatable or foam-filled and will be suited for roles such as boarding, interception, and offshore support.

Wolf Rock said the D collar on the second model will ensure increased internal space and improved deck storage, thus allowing operators to make better use of the available beam. The modular design will meanwhile permit damaged sections to be swapped quickly.
