Miho Shipyard has delivered a newbuild training vessel to the International Mariners Management Association of Japan (IMMAJ).

The vessel has been named Kapitan Gregorio Oca in honour of a Filipino merchant ship captain.

IMMAJ, the All Japan Seamen's Union, and the Associated Marine Officers and Seamen's Union of the Philippines (AMOSUP) jointly funded the construction of the vessel.

Kapitan Gregorio Oca will operate in the Philippines where it will be used to train students of the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP).
