Port of London orders hybrid pilot boat

The Port of London Authority has ordered a hybrid pilot boat from Norfolk boat builder, Goodchild Marine.

The boat will utilise Yanmar engines, and a Transfluid Hybrid transmission system.

The hull will be based on the established ORC design, developed by French naval architects Pantocarene and adapted by Goodchild Marine for the UK market.

The new hybrid vessel is due for delivery spring 2019.
