Tersan Shipyard to build two passenger vessels for Norway

Tersan Shipyard in Turkey has entered into contracts with Havila Kystruten of Norway for the construction of two coastal passenger vessels for operation in Norwegian waters.

The two vessels are part of Havila’s contract with the Norwegian Ministry of Transport for the construction and operation of four sister vessels in the Bergen-Kirkenes coastal route.

The vessels will be built entirely at Tersan’s new building facilities in Yalova City and are scheduled to be delivered by end of 2020. These are expected to begin operating in January 2021.

The 122- by 22-metre vessels were designed by Havyard Design and Solutions and will be powered by LNG and battery.
