Viking Line’s entire fleet to return to service by July

All seven vessels of Finnish operator Viking Line will resume passenger services by July 2, the company said in a recent statement.

The ferries Amorella and Viking Grace will sail the Turku–Åland–Stockholm route, Gabriella the Helsinki–Åland route, and Rosella the Mariehamn–Kapellskär route. Cinderella will sail the Stockholm–Mariehamn route as well as special cruises between Stockholm and Visby during August and September.

Mariella will supplement the normal service of Viking XPRS between Helsinki and Tallinn with four additional daily departures from the beginning of July until August 9. This means that, this summer, Viking Line will have more departures on the Helsinki–Tallinn route compared to earlier years.

The company decided to resume its passenger services for the first time since the Covid-19 outbreak after it noticed an increased demand for travel with the onset of the summer weather.
