Third electric ferry in series delivered to Norway’s Boreal

A new double-ended Ro-Pax ferry has begun its delivery voyage from Turkey to its new owner, Norwegian vessel operator Boreal.

Built by Sedef Shipyard near Istanbul, Vestrefjord is the third in a series of electric ferries ordered by the same customer.

The DNV-classed newbuild has an LOA of 108.8 metres, a moulded beam of 17.7 metres, a draught of 3.8 metres, and capacity for 399 passengers and crew. The vehicle deck can accommodate 120 cars and 12 standard 19.5-metre-long trailers.
