Tallink Grupp acquires Navirail Ro-Pax

Sailor

Estonia’s Tallink Grupp confirmed in a recent stock exchange filing that it has purchased the 1987-built Ro-Pax ferry Sailor from local company Navirail.

The 119-passenger, 1,500-lane-metre vessel has until recently been chartered out to DFDS and has been operating on the Paldiski-Kapellskär route between Estonia and Sweden.

Sailor was acquired for approximately €8.5 million (US$9.54 million). It is scheduled to be formally handed over to its new owners on Thursday, July 9.
