Stena Line will deploy its two new 240-metre-long E-Flexer-class ferries on the Nynashamn-Ventspils route beginning next year, increasing the company’s freight and passenger capacities on the Baltic Sea.

The ferries will each have capacity for 1,200 passengers and 3,600 lane metres of freight, denoting increases of 33 per cent and 25 per cent, respectively, compared to existing vessels on the same route.

The two new ferries were designed in collaboration with Stena RoRo and are currently being built at China Merchants Jinling Shipyard in Weihai.
