Stena Line has taken delivery of a new E-Flexer-class Ro-Pax ferry from China Merchants Jinling Shipyard Weihai.

The 215-metre Stena Embla will be used to transport up to 1,000 passengers and 120 vehicles along Stena’s Belfast-Birkenhead route on the Irish Sea, which is also being served by its sisters Stena Edda and Stena Estrid.

The newbuild is presently en route to the UK and is expected to commence operational sailings in January.
