Stena Line permanently closes Oslo-Frederikshavn route

Stena Saga

Stena Line has permanently ceased its operations on the Oslo-Frederikshavn ferry route, the company said on Thursday, March 19.

Stena Line cited the decline in travel bookings caused by the coronavirus pandemic as the key reason for its decision to discontinue its sailings along the route, which it had served for more than 40 years. As a result of the decision, the company will also close its office in Oslo.

Stena Saga, the vessel which last served the route, is currently in lay-up in its port of registry of Gothenburg.
