Stena Line announces plans for upcoming ferries

Stena Line has announced plans for a series of Ro-Pax ferries currently under construction in China.

Last year, Stena signed a new build contract for six Ro-Pax ferries at AVIC Weihai Shipyard with planned deliveries during 2020 and 2021.

The first of these vessels will enter service on its Dublin – Holyhead route in early 2020, while two will be assigned to the Belfast – Liverpool route.

The other three will be chartered out to external parties by Stena Line’s sister company Stena RoRo.

These vessels will have capacity for 1,000 passengers, 120 cars and 3,100 freight lane metres.
