Philippines’ Medallion Transport expands freight capacity with ferry acquisition
Filipino shipping company Medallion Transport recently took delivery of a Ro-Pax ferry formerly owned by a Japanese operator.
The 60.8- by 13.5-metre Shimanto Gawa will be renamed Lady of Good Health and will be operated out of Cebu in the central Philippines.
Although capable of transporting passengers, the vessel will be used by its new owners for freight-only sailings.
