Archipelago Philippine Ferries Corporation (APFC) recently took delivery of two new all-aluminium catamaran Ro-Pax vessels in a series from Chinese shipbuilder Guangdong Bonny Fair Heavy Industry.

FastCat M19 and FastCat M20 (pictured) were designed by Australian naval architects Sea Transport Solutions to each be capable of transporting up to 360 passengers and 41 vehicles at a cruising speed of 17 knots.

The two ferries will be formally named on Friday, June 25. Shortly afterwards, they will begin serving APFC’s routes that cover the provinces of Batangas, Palawan, Basilan, Zamboanga, and Oriental Mindoro.

The newbuilds are sister vessels of FastCat M17 and FastCat M18, which were delivered to APFC earlier this year.
