New ferry joins Port Aransas fleet

The Texas Department of Transporation’s (TxDOT) Port Aransas Ferry Operations unveiled the newest addition to its Ro-Pax fleet on Friday, March 1.

The vessel has been named Joseph F. Weber after a former TxDOT executive director.

The newbuild is the fifth 28-vehicle ferry and the eighth vessel overall to join the Port Aransas fleet.
