New ferry for Kyokudo Kyushi hits the water

A new Ro-Pax vessel being built for Japanese operator Kyokudo Kyushi Ferry was recently launched into the water at the facilities of Usuki Shipyard in Oita prefecture.

The 1,200-tonne, 86-metre vessel will have capacity for 292 passengers and 57 vehicles once completed.

Delivery is scheduled for February 2021.
