South Korea’s Hyundai Mipo Dockyard has laid the keel of Manxman, a new Ro-Pax ferry ordered by the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company (IoMSPCo).

Upon completion, the vessel will have a length of 133 metres, capacity for 949 passengers, and 495 square metres of space for freight and vehicles.

The new ferry will enter service in 2023. It will replace the aging Ben-my-Chree as the flagship in the IoMSPCo fleet.
