Gulf Island to build double-ended ferry for Texas Department of Transportation

Gulf Island Fabrication has received an award for the construction of a 70-vehicle double-ended ferry to be operated by the Texas Department of Transportation.

The diesel-electric vessel will operate between Galveston and Bolivar Island, Texas.

Delivery is scheduled for late 2021.
