FY2020-21 launch set for new ferry service for Kochi, India

Indian newspaper The Hindu reports that the Kochi Municipal Corporation has unveiled plans for a new Ro-Pax ferry service to become operational sometime during financial year 2020-21.
The new vessels will operate on the route between the districts of Fort Kochi and High Court.
A budget equivalent to US$1.05 million has been allocated for the introduction of the new ferries into service and for the improvement of the existing fleet of vessels operating between Fort Kochi and Vypeen island.
