Turkey’s Tersan Shipyard has delivered the first in a series of four coastal Ro-Pax ferries ordered by Norwegian owner Havila Kystruten.

Havila Capella measures 124 by 22 metres and is powered by a hybrid LNG-battery propulsion system as well as shore charging facilities. Low-emission sailings of up to four hours long can be accomplished using battery power alone.

Once in service, the ferry will be operated on the Bergen-Kirkenes Historical Coastal Line.

Havila Capella was designed by HAV Ship Design and built under the supervision of DNV.
