Damen completes delivery of two more Island-class vessels for BC Ferries
Damen Shipyards Galati has completed delivery of two new Ro-Pax vessels in a series to Canadian operator BC Ferries.
The Ro-Paxes are the third and fourth units of six Island-class diesel-electric hybrid vessels that Damen is building for BC Ferries. Each has a length of 81 metres and capacity for up to 300 passengers and crew and 47 vehicles.
The newbuilds are slated to serve the Northern Gulf Islands off Vancouver.
