COSCO Shipping takes delivery of 1,370-pax luxury ferry

China’s COSCO Shipping has taken delivery of a new luxury Ro-Pax ferry from Guangzhou Shipyard International.

Xianglong Dao (“Xianglong Island”) has a length of 208 metres, a beam of 28.6 metres, a maximum speed of 23 knots, and capacity for 1,370 passengers and up to 2,800 lane metres of freight. Accommodation spaces include VIP rooms, staterooms with balconies, family staterooms with panoramic windows, recreation and entertainment centres, a cinema, retail shops, and a restaurant that can seat 340 people.

The ferry was built in compliance to IMO Safe Return to Port guidelines.
