The United Kingdom’s first LNG ferry, Glen Sannox, has been launched at Ferguson Marine Engineering’s Port Glasgow shipyard in Scotland.

The 102-metre-long vehicle passenger ferry is the first in an order of two vessels, which are the first LNG-fuelled ferries designed and constructed in Britain.

Construction started in 2016, with delivery to Caledonian Maritime Assets scheduled for 2018-19.

Glen Sannox will operate on the Ardrossan to Brodick route, transporting up to 1,000 passengers and up to 127 cars.
