Tallink Grupp’s newest ferry, MyStar, will be formally named and launched into the water for the first time on August 12, 2021.

The launching ceremony at Finland’s Rauma Marine Constructions, where the vessel is being built, will be followed by further outfitting of the interior.

Upon completion, MyStar will have a length of 212 metres, LNG dual-fuel propulsion, and capacity for 3,000 passengers and 1,900 lane metres of freight. The ferry will begin operating on Tallink’s ferry route between Tallinn and Helsinki following its scheduled delivery in the first half of 2022.

Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid will be the guest of honour and ship’s sponsor at the August 12 ceremony.
