Brittany Ferries has confirmed it is in the final stages of negotiation for the sale of the Ro-Pax ferry Cap Finistere to Italian shipping company GNV.

The vessel will be replaced on its UK-Spain routes by Salamanca, the second in a series of three LNG-fueled Ro-Paxes built by China Merchants Jinling Shipyard Weihai for Brittany Ferries.

Cap Finistere was built in 2001 and has been operating with Brittany Ferries since 2010 following its purchase from Athens-based operator the Attica Group. The 204-metre vessel has capacity for 1,595 passengers and up to 110 freight units.
