Stena Line and Germany’s KfW IPEX-Bank have entered into a loan agreement of US$180 million to finance two new E-Flexer-class Ro-Pax ferries.

The two 238-metre newbuildings are among nine new vessels ordered by Stena from China Merchants Jinling Shipyard Weihai. Delivery is scheduled for 2022.

The Chinese export credit agency Sinosure covers the loan.
