New multi-purpose craft for Texel owner nearing completion

Construction is nearly complete on a new multi-purpose vessel ordered by Jorpanavic, an operator based on the North Holland island of Texel.

The 15- by five-metre aluminium-hulled craft will be used as a sightseeing vessel but will also be capable of performing other duties such as crew transfer, survey, and support for dredging and salvage operations.

Once completed, the vessel will have seating for up to 30 passengers and an air-conditioned galley. Two Cummins 357kW engines will deliver a speed of 28 knots.

The vessel is being built at the facilities of local yard Stapert Watersport.
