Bamford-based Ladybower Fisheries, an operator that specialises in recreational fishing trips, recently took delivery of a new boat designed specifically to also allow access for wheelchair-bound passengers.

Named The Gov, the vessel was acquired with the help of The Wheelyboat Trust, a UK charity that supplies groups and organisations with wheelchair accessible boats.

The FRP-hulled boat has an LOA of 5.3 metres, a beam of two metres, seating for up to eight people, a bow access ramp, and one Suzuki outboard engine. The newbuild joins an earlier boat supplied by The Wheelyboat Trust to Ladybower Fisheries in 2016.
