UAE firm to develop new hydrofoil ferries
PASSENGER VESSEL WEEK
UAE-based marine services provider Al Seer Marine (ASM) has begun development of a new range of high-speed ferries that will be among the fastest passenger vessels in operation in the Middle East.
The vessels will be fitted with hydrofoils as well as stability-enhancing and shock-mitigating features. The maximum passenger capacities will range from 60 to 80.
ASM is working on the project in collaboration with French naval architects SEair.
