Silver Ferry launches Japanese-built ferry Silver Tiara

Silver Ferry’s 8,600GT Silver Tiara has been launched from the slipway of Nakai Zosen’s Setoda Shipyard in Japan.

The 148.8-metre ferry will become Silver Ferry’s (K Line) flagship when delivered on April 25.

Travelling at an operating speed of 20 knots, it will carry up to 494 passengers and 82 vessels.

Scheduled to replace Silver Queen, the vessel will operate between the islands of Honshu and Hokkaido islands.
