Shenzhen Airport Express takes delivery of catamaran ferry

Shenzhen Airport Express Passenger Transport inaugurated its newest fast ferry into service on Monday, January 13.

The aluminium alloy catamaran vessel, which has been named Ji Chang 19 (“Airport 19”), sailed on its maiden voyage later that same day.

The newbuild has an LOA of 42.39 metres, a beam of 10.5 metres, and seating for up to 280 passengers.

Ji Chang 19 was designed by Austal and built by Aolong Boat, a joint venture company partly owned by Jianglong Shipbuilding. It will be operated between Shenzhen and Hong Kong.
