Seastreak orders second 45m ferry in series
US ferry operator Seastreak has awarded Midship Marine of Harvey, Louisiana, a contract to build a 45- by 12-metre passenger vessel.
The Incat Crowther-designed vessel will be a near identical sister of Seastreak Commodore. It will have capacity for 600 passengers and four MTU 12V4000 M64 engines that will deliver speeds in excess of 38 knots in full load configuration.
The yet unnamed ferry will be the ninth Incat Crowther-designed vessel to be built for Seastreak.
