New ferry service launched in Colombo, Sri Lanka

A new ferry service was recently launched in Sri Lanka’s capital city of Colombo.

The point-to-point route between the suburbs of Wellawatte and Battaramulla will pass through Colombo’s various canals. The total travel time is estimated at 30 minutes.

The Sri Lanka Land Development Corporation (SLLDC) is the operator of the ferries, each of which has capacity for 16 passengers.
